Healing of Hepatitis C Using Herbal Treatment

A female patient, at the time of age 42, suffered from hepatitis C. She had been through two annual cycles of interferon treatment in 2000 and 2001 (one vaccination per week for a total length of 12 months). The side effects of the treatment had almost killed her. During and after the weekly treatment procedure her body turned out to be almost dysfunctional. The patient had a treatment history of a total of 4 years when coming in for help in June 2002. Prior results had been completely dissatisfactory.

Dr. LaPlante applied an herbal treatment cycle between June and December of 2002. She used a blend of 4 herbal formulas composed of elements such as schisandra (clinical liver care formula) and gentiana (energetics of the compounds were designed to detox the liver and clear damp heat from it as well as from the lower jiao and the urinary bladder.

The results of the treatment had been remarkable. The viral load had almost been eliminated and liver enzymes turned out to be quite normal. The subsequent liver diagnosis done by St. Louis University Hospital yielded such positive results that the medical doctors at the hospital could not qualify the patient for the next round of intended interferon treatment.

Sadly enough the responsible doctors at that hospital decided to get the patient back on their treatment regime even though the diagnosis told them otherwise (January 2003). They argued that the results of the herbal treatment would not last and that they would have a new promising cocktail that would ensure sustainability. In order to be able to qualify the patient for the third round of interferon they used medical records from one year prior (from January 2002 after the second round of interferon and before the herbal treatment). As a consequence, the patient was qualified for a third round of interferon treatment. The MDs at the hospital promised that a new formula used for the coming interferon vaccination would deliver the final and sustainable relief from the disease. Later research done by the patient’s family yielded the real reason. The patient was used to get funding for test programs and develop new drugs.

The patient entered a third round of interferon treatment at the beginning of 2003 even though it was not needed. The treatment was completed in December 2003. The practitioner had kept the patient on an herbal treatment program during the first part of the interferon. When finding out about it the responsible doctors at the hospital threatened the patient that she would be eliminated from the rest of the round if she did not stop taking the herbs.

Another liver biopsy in March 2004 (after the third round of interferon had ended) brought out the real facts. The third round of interferon treatment had completely failed. More specifically, the condition of the liver had been worse than diagnosed after the first two rounds of interferon treatment (results of the diagnosis in January 2002). Particularly, the viral load had been elevated.

Given the elevated viral load in March 2004 the responsible doctors at the hospital suggested a fourth round of interferon cocktail which would not contain placebo (the first three cocktails obviously had placebo even though this component does not serve to kill the liver virus). They suggested that a new test drug would be applied to deliver final relief. Per later research by the family the real reason was again to get more funding for drug development.

The patient agreed again and started a fourth round of interferon treatment in the second quarter of 2004. The primary care physician had written up a prescription to ensure full insurance coverage for a 16 months treatment cycle. Interestingly enough, the prescription had been written up such that it covered the first 12 months only. The side effects had been severe. The patient had to stay in bed all weekend and could not go to work on Mondays (weekly treatment cycle).

After 12 months the insurance stopped paying for the vaccinations due to the error in the prescription. The patient became hysterical assuming that she would die from hepatitis C if she did not finish the program. The primary care physician would even search for privately funded organizations which would pay for the remaining cost.

At this point (January 2005), the practitioner approached the patient again. The weak constitution of the patient, all the negative side effects, totally dissatisfying results as well as the misstatements of the medical doctors at the hospital finally led to the patient’s decision not to continue the treatment nightmare.

The practitioner immediately applied another herbal treatment program as explained above. A few more herbs had been added to the overall herbal formula. A liver biopsy done in August 2005 yielded positive results. The viral load as well as the liver enzymes appeared to be quite normal again. Ever since the patient’s liver has been in good condition.

Liver Disease Treatment Using Chinese Herbal Products

The liver plays a key role in digesting food, removing toxins, regulating blood lipid levels, controlling the body’s inflammations and other important biological activities. Hepatitis is an infectious liver disease caused by viruses, such as hepatitis A, B or C, leading to inflammation and pathological swelling of the liver. Hepatitis patients usually have symptoms including loss of appetite, nausea and vomiting, diarrhea, dark-colored urine, pale bowel movement, stomach pain, and yellowing of skin and eye color due to their hepatic dysfunction.
